WATERTOWN — Two Three Mile Bay residents were charged following an alleged incident with police officers in a parking lot at 1290 Arsenal St.

City police charged Benjamin E. VanTassel, 30, of 6567 State Park Road, Three Mile Bay, with two counts of resisting arrest and one count of disorderly conduct, while Kimberly L. Marsilio, 39, same address, was charged with second-degree harassment.

Police said Ms. Marsilio pushed Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy Jay W. Morrow, while Mr. VanTassel allegedly clenched his fist as if to strike officers, attempted to prevent Ms. Marsilio’s arrest and refused to put his arms behind his back during his arrest.

Mr. VanTassel was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and initially held on $500 bail, while Ms. Marsilio is to answer her charge in City Court.
